This stunning vase is crafted using he Japanese form of pottery known as Raku. The piece is wheel turned and is then high fired to extreme temperatures. This brings out the incredible multitude of colours from the glaze. The white clay has turned black due to it being carbonized. This is done through starving the fired piece of oxygen whilst it is still hot. It's a striking piece that can be used as a single stem vase. However, this is a piece of art and will be a talking point just displayed as it is. The makers mark is present at the bottom, however our research didn't lead us to the makers name. Height- 23cm Base width- 11cm Widest width- 14.5cm
