Opinel N°08 Outdoor Pocket Knife.
The N°08 Outdoor pocket knife is dedicated to sporting activities: trekking, mountaineering, canyoning, sailing, caving, paragliding etc. Its ultra-resistant polymer handle is equipped with a safety whistle.
The durable blade is equipped with a notched area to cut cords as well as a shackle spanner. The N°08 Outdoor equips ENSA (National School of Skiing and Mountaineering at Chamonix) guides.
Its very strong blade (2.5 mm thick) is serrated over 3.5 cm to cut natural or synthetic ropes and has a shackle key for 4 to 10 mm shackles. Its handle is water-resistant and whitstands extreme temperatures. It is equipped with a +110db whistle.
Blade length - 8.5 cm
Acier inoxydable MA5 - Martensitic stainless steel with high hardness due to the addition of nitrogen (0.15%) and superior corrosion resistance due to a high chromium content (16%).
Handle - Fibreglass-reinforced polyamide to whithstand shocks, humidity, and extreme temperatures(-40°C à +80°C). Pealess survival whistle functions in all weathers (110 decibels).
Safety ring - Invented by Marcel Opinel in 1955, the Virobloc safety ring is fitted to all folding knives from the N° 06. Cut out of stainless steel, the Virobloc has two sections, one fixed and one sliding. In addition to locking the blade open (safety in use), it is now possible to lock the blade closed (safety in transport).

By law, we are NOT permitted to sell a knife or blade to any person under the age of 18 (Criminal Justice Act 1988).
- Please be aware we will ask you to send a picture of your ID (which must include your name, age and address) before posting an age restricted product out!
- Once we have checked your ID we will post the age restricted product out to you. But, you must make sure that an individual aged 18 or over be present at the address upon delivery. Royal Mail practices Challenge 25 and the recipient may be required to present ID to Royal Mail. Failure to do so may result in the Age Verified Item not being delivered.
- If you are collecting the age restricted product from our shop, please be advised that we also practice Challenge 25 and you may be required to present ID to verify you are over 18.
