Opinel Luxury Range
The timeless aesthetic of the traditional pocket knife is emphasized by the nobility of exceptional materials. This luxury knife is also available in a stylish version with a horn handle or made from woods noted for their veins, colour and density.
We currently have N°06 & N°08 knifes in Olive, Oak and Walnut.
Ideal for outdoor activities and sports, the N°06 and N°08 knives practical and efficient for daily manual work (small crafts and sewing). The N°06 size is particularly suited to the most petty hands.
Blade length - N°06 = 7 cm & N°08 = 8.5 cm.
Blade material - Sandvik 12C27 modified stainless steel. It is anti-corrosive thanks to the addition of chrome and requires no special maintenance. Its carbon content of at least 0.40% gives excellent cutting edge.Blade hardness 57-58 HRC
Handle
Olive = The mythical tree of the Mediterranean ! This hard wood has a yellow to orange appearance and has a dense and often tortuous veining. Soft to the touch it has a nice polish.
Walnut = This French wood is yellow brown aor grey brown. It often presents dark veins.
Oak = This oak comes from France. It is a hard wood, very resistant, including to insects and fungi thanks to a high tannin content. It has a yellow-brown appearance, with regular veining.
Safety ring - Invented by Marcel Opinel in 1955, the Virobloc safety ring is fitted to all folding knives from the N° 06. Cut out of stainless steel, the Virobloc has two sections, one fixed and one sliding. In addition to locking the blade open (safety in use), it is now possible to lock the blade closed (safety in transport).

Age Restricted Product!
By law, we are NOT permitted to sell a knife or blade to any person under the age of 18 (Criminal Justice Act 1988).
- Please be aware we will ask you to send a picture of your ID (which must include your name, age and address) before posting an age restricted product out!
- Once we have checked your ID we will post the age restricted product out to you. But, you must make sure that an individual aged 18 or over be present at the address upon delivery. Royal Mail practices Challenge 25 and the recipient may be required to present ID to Royal Mail. Failure to do so may result in the Age Verified Item not being delivered.
- If you are collecting the age restricted product from our shop, please be advised that we also practice Challenge 25 and you may be required to present ID to verify you are over 18.
